Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, Subi Farmers Market will be held at Earthwise Community from February 6 in order to reduce non-essential contact within Subiaco Primary School.
Subi Farmers Market is the place to go if you’re looking to buy fresh, farm-direct produce and enjoy great food among good company. Particularly now, when people are running amok and panic buying in shopping centres across Perth, getting away from the big supermarkets and buying local has never been more important.
Every Saturday morning from 8am – noon, Subi Farmers Market is abuzz with locals meeting up for breakfast and doing their grocery shopping, in the largest regular community event in Subiaco.
Supporting local WA growers and producers since 2009, Subi Farmers Market is one of the oldest and most popular farmers markets in Perth. Over 40 stallholders head down every week to sell their produce and have a chat, setting up bright and early before the sun is up.
For breakfast, you’ll be spoilt for choice, with a variety of hot food vendors serving up delicious eats such as brekky burgers from Egg Heads, traditional spanakopita from Tom the Greek and homemade bratwursts from Bratwurst Bar. Shak Shuka’s delicious Moroccan Street Food is a must-try; two poached eggs in a rich tomato sauce served with fluffy couscous and chorizo.
Fill up your basket as you peruse the stalls, selling seasonal fresh produce including Gibbs Creek mandarins, hydroponic cherry tomatoes from Stakehill guaranteed to be the sweetest you’ll ever taste, and lots more. You’ll also find grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, locally sourced seafood, creamy feta from Bookara Goat Dairy, hand-churned butter from Devoted Artisans, and plenty of baked treats.
Dogs are welcome and well catered for by Barkday Paw-ty – their doggy donuts and lollipops will be a big hit with the furrier members of your family.
