The Cat Cafe launches Origami with Cats

In their first week back open to the public, The Cat Cafe Subiaco has launched Origami with Cats.

As the name suggests, the sessions entail a cat hang-out (as per usual), with a side of Origami-making. Head in 10 minutes before your session to pick out your style of paper, then settle in and relax with the twelve rescue cats as you create a paper masterpiece. Combining two of the most tranquil activities creates a space for mindfulness, and helps declutter the mind. The Cat Cafe is super popular amongst kids, cat lovers and, not surprisingly, the stressed-out workers of Subiaco who need to give their brain a rest on their lunch break.

Sessions are $25, go for one hour each, and include a free coffee or other drink. For now, Origami with Cats is only available on Monday-Fridays, and is not available during the school holidays. Book a session time here.

If you’re after more unique relaxation experiences, The Cat Cafe also offer Meditation with Cats. On every other Thursday night, the sessions are hosted by a meditation and animal Reiki (energy healing) specialist, Carolyn Trethewey. With only 12 spots available, this books out pretty quickly, so you might want to pencil it into your diary in advance. Bookings here.
