Perth’s first-ever Chicken and Beer Festival is landing right here in Subiaco for the April Long Weekend.
Finger lickin’ birds and brews will be at our fingertips in Subiaco Market Square over four sessions, kicking off Friday, April 23. With a double session on Saturday and a day session on Sunday to wrap up the event, chicken lovers and beer enthusiasts are invited to indulge in a day of festival fun complete with music, carnival rides and plenty of entertainment.
Catch Perth food truck favourites such as Satchmo, Baolicious, Smokr and Munchy Machine as they serve up chicken recipes from around the world. Sample classics like New Orleans and Korean fried chicken, or delight in dishes bursting with the flavours of Indonesia, India, Brazil or Jamaica. Wash down your meal with a beer from one of the many breweries featuring crowd-favourite craft beer from Perth institutions like Pirate Life, Little Creatures, Fat Bull, Whalebone, Good Drinks, Mountain Goat, just to name a few.
If you’re not too keen on beer, you won’t miss out with bars exclusively serving cider, wine and cocktails all weekend. Vegan and vegetarians are not forgotten either, with multiple vendors serving up delicious meat-free alternatives.
Be entertained by buskers and live AFL games to be broadcast on the giant screen, get your groove on at a silent disco, or play one of the many carnival and garden games available for all ages.
All four sessions welcome all ages, and entry is free to children under 18 who are accompanied by a legal guardian. Dogs are welcome too, but must be kept on a lead at all times.
Early Bird tickets are available to purchase now, and include a drink in the price of your ticket.
Sessions will run on Friday, 4.30pm to 10.30pm; Saturday, 11:00am to 4:00pm and 5:00pm to 11:00pm; and Sunday 12:00pm to 6:00pm
