Lego Challenges, PJ Story Times and New Games at Subiaco Library

The Subiaco Library is putting on numerous free activities for children aged five and up. Make sure to book in quickly as three activities are already sold out. Here are our top picks:

Lego Challenge

It’s a race against the clock in this challenge to build a Lego design based on the children’s book week theme, ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’. Using the Scribbler’s Festival Fuel Your Creativity workbook, created by the latest winners of Hamish Blake’s Lego Masters and chock full of creative ideas, kids are welcome to take their book home to continue working on their masterpieces. Running Tuesday Sep 29 and Tuesday Oct 8, from 2:30pm – 3:30pm, bookings are essential and tickets are limited. Get them here for Sep 29 and here for Oct 8.

Pyjama Storytime

Just before bedtime from 5pm – 6pm on Wed Sep 30, kids are invited to join Neale, Subiaco Library’s virtual story time reader, as he brings their book of choice to life. They can wear their favourite pair of PJs and snuggle into a blanket as they doze off to their favourite fable. Or, if they (and you) prefer to stay home, you can check out Neale’s recorded storytimes here.

Book here to secure a spot.

Games Club

Kids can enjoy a games club day from 10:30am-11:30am Thursday 1 Oct with old and new games. Parents, and possibly grandparents, may recognise a few games themselves as the kids learn how to play them, make new friends and maybe even realise they are a games champion!
