First look at the Subiaco Hotel renovations, set to open in November

The owners of the Subiaco Hotel have given us a sneak peak into what the new renovations will bring while announcing that the heritage pub will re-open for business in late November, marking the end of a 12-month revitalisation project for the building.

“Like many Perth locals, Dave and I felt a very strong connection and attachment to the Subi, having shared many meals and beers here over the years. Our vision was not to recreate it, but to refresh, revitalise and reinstate this iconic heritage hotel back to a cornerstone of the Perth pub scene” said owner Lawson Douglas, who purchased the site in late 2019 with fellow owner Dave Allan.

The reimagined Subi Hotel combines heritage and contemporary elements, aiming to create a relaxed, connected and appealing venue, with multiple new and distinct entertaining spaces available for patrons. The Subiaco Hotel renovations will include a roof deck, saloon bar, two mezzanine levels, a sports bar decked out with 10 screens for your viewing pleasure, a lobby bar, a courtyard, bistro and multiple dedicated function spaces. The bathrooms have been relocated back downstairs, which was the most popular change requested by the public. Plus, they’ll have a whole new menu for you to try out. Here’s an artist impression of what to expect from the mezzanine:
