Subiaco is home to a host of bakeries and patisseries including Chez Jean Claude, who has made Subi his home for more than 20 years. From Japanese-style bakeries, to the Swiss-French patisseries, you’re sure to find something different as well as the classics baked to perfection.
Sorganic
This quaint little bakery and café on Rokeby Rd prides itself on creating organic sourdough, freshly baked using organic flour, filtered water and sea salt. Sorganic’s bakers work from 10pm-6am to bake fresh bread daily (or nightly, should we say).
While their loaves are all sourdough, they use different types of flour to create variations in the loaves, such as a low-carb, 100% rye loaf, wholemeal and white. Their most popular loaves are the fruit loaf, filled with apricots, figs and dates, and the spelt loaf, made from ancient spelt grain and garnished with pumpkin seeds.
As well as buying a fresh loaf, you can grab a takeaway breakfast or lunch and enjoy their Strawberry Sourdough Drizzle or their most popular brekky, Avocado on Sourdough.
